Dinner
For dinner choose from either a four or seven course tasting menu. At Timberyard our menus change weekly, sometimes daily, reflecting what is fresh, foraged and found. Pescetarian, Vegetarian and Vegan menu s are also available. We cater for most allergy related dietary requirements if notified in advance. Please note that we do not serve a n a la carte menu. Please allow up to 3 hours for the tasting menus .

Lunch
At lunch time we serve a 3 -course lunch menu alongside our seasonal tasting menus. Younger guestsAt Timberyard , children over 6 are welcome at lunch. Please note that we do not offer a children’s menu, but some dishes can be simplified . We do not allow children at dinner.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate dogs at Timberyard. In the summer months dogs are welcome when dining outside in the courtyard. These tables are not bookable and weather dependant, please check ahead. Guide dogs are welcome at all times but must be notified in advance.

There is no dress code at Timberyard.

Cancellation Policy
All guests are required to provide card details to secure the reservation. Cancellation of your reservation less than 48 hours before your visit will incur a charge of £85 per person for lunch and £100 per person for dinner. For our private dining room (th e shed) we require 72 hours’ notice or the full minimum spend agreed will be charged. Note – additional T&C’s apply for special dates in the diary and ticketed events.

In addition to tables, we also offer tall bar seats, suitable for single diners and pairs . We offer the same menus for both options. We do not take bookings for drinks only and we do not have a separate bar for arrival drinks, but you are welcome to enjoy a drink at your table from the time of booking.

If the date you are looking for is already fully booked, we recommend adding yourself to the waitlist by clicking on “alert me”. We will notify you if any tables become available. In addition,we recommend booking a table in our sister restaurant Montrose, located in the East End, not far from The Balmoral Hotel. Montrose is on the Michelin recommended list and feature s in most top publications on where to dine in Edinburgh. With the team trained by Timberyard, Montrose follows the same style of cooking, offering seasonal, sustainable dishes with locally foraged ingredients. Service, wines, drinks and food are very much aligned to the ethos of Timberyard with the same attention to detail.
